Passing Thought
I had a passing thought that I
Might love again someday -
Envelop every sense possessed
By someone and her way.
Disabling hesitation's call
And reservation's chains -
Giving not a thought to pause,
She's rushing through my veins.
Transporting me through atmospheres,
Rejecting reason's rhyme
To land upon a hemisphere
Beyond the touch of time.
Where color formed kaleidoscopes
Confuse all common sense -
Disarming charms enticing me
To leave me no defense.
Through the gates of rapture drawn
Where pleasure knows no bounds -
Out breath in rhythm synchronized,
The beating heart that pounds.
A passing thought that dissipates,
Appears to disappear -
Less frequently to wash away
With every passing year.
