A Blue Tick's Parting

Uncertain her manner

Unsure of her place

The saddest of eyes

Appointing her face.

Distrusting her instincts

Suspecting unknowns

In the saddest of eyes

Her fear ever shown.

In moments of panic

To trembling consigned

The saddest of eyes

With mine would align.

In parting forever

She looked back at me

To the saddest of eyes

That she'll ever see.
